Dr. Hemang Ambani is renowned orthopedic and joint replacement surgeon working in the field of orthopedics since last 2 decades. Dr. Ambani graduated and done M.B.B.S. from Gujarat University, India in march 1990 from B.J. Medical College and completed his postgraduate orthopaedic residency in March 1994. He is founder of Shivam Orthopedic Hospital, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, India running successfully since 1996. He is special panel orthopedic surgeon Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Oil & Natural Gas Corporation ltd. (ONGC) Physical Research Laboratory (PRL). He is founder and director Shreeorthocare, Joint Replacement Associate, first joint replacement group of Gujarat. He is Director, KD Joint Replacement Department, KD hospital, Drive-in Road, Ahmedabad. He has visited Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok for minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgeries. He has participated in national and international level orthopedic conferences and Replacement surgery workshops. He has visited Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital, Indianapolis, USA . He had an opportunity of sharing knowledge with Dr. David Fissure about revision and complicated hip and knee replacement surgery. He was faculty and organizer for live joint replacement conference JIS CON-2014, which was first of its kind in Gujarat. He has done more than 2500 orthopedic surgeries including hip and knee replacement surgery. He has participated in for health awareness Programmes on television regarding arthritis and knee replacement.
Dr. Ambani has served in multiple charitable organizations like Kacchhi Jain Seva Samaj, Ahmedabad, Manav Tabibi Seva Trust, Ahmedabad, and Sadkarya Seva Samaj. He has organized multiple CMES for Medical practitioners in association with local medical association and also recently visited Tanzania and delivered talk on knee replacement surgery in Mwanza and Dar es Salaam. As a part of social responsibility he has organized various lectures for awareness for general public regarding arthritis, it’s prevention & treatment.
